Pro tip: My grocery budget was blown because I bought pre-chopped veggies
A cashier at my local Aldi straight up told me I was paying 3x more for pre-cut bell peppers and onions. Switched to whole veggies and saved $12 a week right away. What simple swap saved you the most cash?

Swapping name brand cereal for the store brand saved me way more than I expected.

That $12 a week sounds great, but how much more time are you spending chopping now?

I clocked it at exactly 28 extra minutes this week, but that's with a cheap knife that needs sharpening constantly (which is its own time sink). The thing is, most of that time is just me standing there listening to podcasts anyway, so it's not like I'm losing anything valuable. And honestly, if you buy pre-cut veggies you're paying for someone else's time plus their markup, so $12 a week for an hour of my time feels like a fair trade to me. Plus I find it kind of meditative, you know, like a little ritual instead of a chore.
