My wife does the exact opposite thing at the grocery store. She rounds every item up to the next dollar while she shops, so by the time we hit the register she's got this running total in her head that's way higher than the real one. Last Tuesday she guessed 87 bucks and the actual bill was 61. She was thrilled for like ten minutes. Then she used the "saved" money to buy a candle.
