OH MY GOD WAIT. Are you telling me you actually went a full 6 months with a spreadsheet and it actually WORKED? I tried that ONCE and my budget was a hot mess by week 2 because I kept forgetting to log my coffee runs and takeout. I'm genuinely shocked you had the discipline to track everything by hand that long.

Wait, do you think the trick isn't tracking every single coffee but just the big stuff? I bet if you only logged anything over like $10 you'd still get a good picture without losing your mind.

My 2nd cousin tried that whole meticulous spreadsheet thing and after like three weeks she just gave up and started guessing the numbers at the end of each month. I feel like it's one of those things that sounds good on paper but in real life you're just setting yourself up to feel bad about forgetting a $3 coffee. Honestly, is it really that deep that you need to know exactly where every single penny went? Seems like a lot of stress for not much payoff, don't you think?
