TIL you can book a 'hidden city' ticket to save a ton on flights
I needed a one-way to Denver, but the direct flight was over $300. I found a flight to Phoenix with a layover in Denver for only $127. I just got off in Denver and didn't board the second leg. Saved almost $200, but you have to travel with only a personal item since checked bags go to the final stop. Has anyone else tried this with a different airline, like Southwest?

Used to think it was a shady trick. Saw a friend do it for a Vegas trip and save a bundle. Makes total sense now if you pack light.

Ever try it with just a backpack?

Southwest is tricky for this since they have open seating, but you can still make it work. Just be the last person to board so you get a middle seat near the back, right? The real risk is them canceling your return flight if you skip a leg on a round-trip ticket.
