My flight to Lisbon went from $900 to $450 after I changed my search date by one day

I was looking at flights for a trip in October, and the price was stuck at around $900 for a direct flight. I got curious and checked the day before and the day after my original date. The flight on the day after was only $450, same airline and everything. I guess a lot of people want to leave on that specific Saturday, so the price shoots up. Has anyone else saved a bunch just by being flexible with their exact travel day?

My vacation planning skills are so bad I'd probably book the expensive day out of habit. Good find on the cheaper flight.

Saw a tip about using incognito mode for cheaper flights.

Always figured flight prices were set in stone once you picked your dates. This kind of thing proves me wrong. Flexibility is clearly the biggest money saver. I'm going to check a whole week next time I book. That price drop is too big to ignore.
