Honestly hostels are SO much better for meeting people anyway.

You ever accidentally lock yourself in a hostel bathroom for 20 minutes because the latch was sticky and now you have a built-in excuse to talk to anyone who walks by? Because I have. Turns out shared misery over bad shower pressure is the real icebreaker, not some fancy common room.
