Watched a Gen Z coworker delete 3 years of shared drive files in 10 minutes

I was at my desk in Cleveland when she said 'this cloud storage is messy' and just hit select all on a folder with our client contracts. Had to spend 4 hours on the phone with IT to restore backups and now nobody shares edit access anymore. Has your generation ever been taught that delete isn't the same as organize?

read somewhere gen z thinks cloud storage works like a giant undo button.

@finleyw99 yeah that tracks with some stuff Ive seen too. But heres my thing - are they actually thinking undo, or is it more like they just never think about where files actually live? Like cloud syncing being some kind of automatic backup that fixes everything you mess up. Genuinely curious what they really expect to happen when they delete something from their trash folder.
