Rant: My uncle in Tucson told me our group ruined music, then played me a song from 2019
He goes off about how nobody makes real music anymore, so I asked what he listened to lately and he pulled up a track he found on TikTok. Do we actually kill the stuff we complain about, or does every group just hate whatever came after it? Curious what you all think.

Since music is everywhere now, we each end up with our own little bubble of stuff, so there is no shared "real music" left to ruin. Maybe the thing people actually miss is just hearing the same songs as everyone else, not the songs themselves.
