My dad in Ohio still runs his 1994 Honda lawn mower and refuses to buy anything with a battery

I finally asked him last Saturday why he keeps rebuilding that carburetor instead of getting one of those new electric zero-turns and he said 'because I'm not paying a thousand bucks for a battery that dies in 3 years' which made me wonder, has anyone else's older relatives just dug in on gas powered lawn equipment while we all rush to cordless everything?

I mean my uncle had the same attitude until he tried my dad's electric.

Yeah, the whole "tried my dad's electric" thing hits close to home. I get why people are skeptical at first, electric cars sound like a gimmick until you actually sit in one and feel how smooth they drive. It took me about one test drive to go from rolling my eyes to seriously considering one for my next car.
