My 2005 Honda Civic finally gave up after that cold snap in Denver
I was driving to work last Tuesday when my check engine light started blinking like crazy. Pulled over and saw steam coming from under the hood, turns out the radiator cracked right down the middle. Cost me $700 to get it towed and fixed at a shop on Colfax. Now I'm wondering if Gen X really did keep their cars longer than anyone else, or is my generation just bad at maintenance?

Check engine light started blinking" sounds like that car was already giving you warning signs long before Denver froze over.

My buddy's minivan started flashing that light back in 2018 and he kept driving it for like three weeks before it finally died on I-70 during a hailstorm. Turns out it was a loose gas cap the whole time, but he spent $400 on tow trucks before figuring that out. Denver weather definitely makes a bad car problem feel way worse, especially when you're stuck on the side of the highway in the dark. Hope Willow got it checked before something expensive happened.
