I ran my own little test on paper towels vs rags for cleaning windows and wow
For years I used paper towels for all my window cleaning around the house. My mom always bought those blue ones and I just followed along. Then last Saturday I grabbed some old cotton rags from my dad's garage and tried them with the same spray. The difference was wild. No streaks at all and one rag did three big windows before I needed a new one. A roll of paper towels gets me maybe 4 windows and costs like $3 each time. Has anyone else switched to rags for certain chores and found something that worked way better?

Have you ever heard that microfiber cloths are supposed to be even better for glass? I read somewhere that paper towels actually have those little fibers that can cause scratches over time on your windows, especially if they're the cheaper kind. My buddy swears by old t-shirt rags for his car windows, says they leave zero lint behind compared to paper towels. I'm still using paper towels myself, but your story might make me dig some old shirts out of my closet and give it a shot this weekend.

Is it really that serious @nathana48, or are we just overthinking cleaning windows?
