Hot take: my nephew's 14 person squad can't change a flat tire but they'll argue with me about who ruined the economy
So last Saturday my nephew had 3 friends over and one of their cars had a flat in my driveway, and not one of those kids knew where the jack was, so I had to walk out in my slippers and do it myself. Fine, whatever, I showed them. But then at dinner the oldest one, he's 19, starts going off about how my group sat on our hands and handed them a broken country. I almost laughed. Kid, I got laid off twice before I hit 30 and still paid off a $7,400 car note on a job that paid $11.75 an hour. I'm not saying my crowd is blameless, we voted for plenty of dumb stuff, but I've been seeing this a lot lately where the kids can't do basic stuff but they've got a full report card on everyone older than them. Where does that even come from? Is it just the internet feeding them clips or are we actually that bad?
