Hit 30 stamps in my passport last week and it got me thinking about older generations' travel habits

I been collecting passport stamps for about 7 years now, and last week I hit 30 since 2017. My grandpa told me he only had 4 stamps his whole life before he retired. He said air travel was too expensive and most people just stayed local or took trains. Made me realize my generation flies everywhere for cheap and probably wrecked the planet more. But also weird how older folks couldn't see the rest of the world unless they had money or military orders. Anyone else think we travel too much now compared to our parents?

Greyhound actually has a pretty interesting history, my parents used to ride it across states for like 20 bucks back in the 70s. Train travel was more of an east coast thing for most people, the rest of the country relied on buses to get around cheap. Kinda cool how different transportation shaped what parts of the world people got to see back then.

Your grandpa actually had a point about trains since my parents only ever took the Greyhound growing up.
