TIL my phone's autocorrect was rewriting my texts to my landlord

Last week I saw my phone change 'please fix the leak' to 'please fix the lead' in a text about my apartment in Portland. It took me three tries to notice because the notification preview looked fine until I opened the thread. Has anyone else caught their phone silently editing important messages and had to start re-reading everything before hitting send?

and my buddy had this happen with his bank, their app autocorrected "transfer" to "transferred" and he almost sent $500 to the wrong account. he caught it right before he hit confirm, but now he reads every text out loud before sending anything important. i mean, it's wild how much we trust our phones to just get it right.
