I was driving to a new client site in Phoenix last Tuesday and my GPS kept routing me down a street that was literally blocked by a construction fence. After the third try I pulled over and realized the map data was from 2019, the road had been rerouted for a whole new development. I always blamed the app for being trash but it's actually the map providers who lag on updates for smaller cities. Anyone else ever get screwed by an outdated GPS route and only figure it out after burning 20 minutes?

That cashier blamed my phone for her tablet glitch, I about lost it. Stopped at a hardware store in Akron last Tuesday to grab some brake pads for a customer's Civic. I get to the register and this cashier, maybe 19 years old, starts ringing me up and her tablet freezes mid-swipe. She looks right at my phone sitting in my cup holder and goes, 'Your Bluetooth is probably interfering with our system.' Ma'am, my phone is a 4 year old Android with Bluetooth off and it's in my car, twenty feet away. I told her that and she doubled down, said it happens all the time. Turns out their whole POS system needed a reboot, the manager came over and did that, took two minutes. So is it the tech's fault for glitching or the user's fault for not knowing their own setup? I'm still annoyed that she tried to pin it on my junk phone like it's some kind of signal vampire. Anyone else had a clerk blame your gear for their store's broken software?

Last Thursday I texted my neighbor Gina to confirm we were doing pasta night at my place. My phone autocorrected to "pasta fight" and I didn't catch it until after she replied with a bunch of angry emojis. She showed up at my door with a wooden spoon and asked where her kid's birthday money was, apparently she thought I was joking about a different text from her phone. I tried to show her the autocorrect log but by then she'd already stormed off.
