Wasted $100 on a pair of clippers that claimed to be 'salon grade'
Saw this brand all over Instagram promising zero snagging and a super quiet motor. After two weeks the blade started pulling and making this horrible grinding noise. Anyone else get burned by those influencer clipper ads?

Been looking into this more than I probably should have, and what gets me is the warranty angle. Most of these Instagram brands have these super short 30 day return windows and then require you to pay shipping both ways, which is basically half the cost of the clippers anyway. The big professional brands like Wahl and Oster have been making clippers for decades and their inexpensive models still last years because they use simple metal parts that are easy to fix. Those influencer brands are counting on you tossing the clippers and buying another pair rather than getting them repaired or replaced. Theyre not selling tools, theyre selling a disposable product at a premium price.

Hold up, gotta push back on this. I bought that exact same brand after seeing it everywhere on Instagram and mine are still going strong six months in. You guys might've gotten a dud batch or not maintained them right - these things need oiling after every use like any other clipper. The warranty thing is standard for budget electronics too, Walmart and Amazon do the same 30 day return window on small appliances. And let's be real, Wahl and Oster charge double or triple for basically the same plastic internals these days. I've seen comparison videos where the Instagram brand actually cuts smoother out of the box than the $150 Wahl model. Sometimes you just hit bad luck with any product.

Used to think those Instagram ads were just good marketing and the products were solid. Figured people complaining were just unlucky or didn't know what they were doing. Then I bought a pair of those "pro grade" trimmers from a big name barber on Instagram. Lasted maybe three weeks before the battery stopped holding a charge and the blade alignment went way off. Opened it up and saw cheap plastic gears and a motor that looked like it came from a toy. Made me realize those ads are just paying for hype, not quality.
