Was dead against those magnetic clip-on cape holders until I borrowed one from a buddy
Stubborn old me figured they'd just slip off mid-cut but after a week of using one at my station in Austin I can't go back. Anyone else get converted on something they swore they'd never touch?

you know what this reminds me of? its like how we dig our heels in on stuff we've never actually tried because we built up this whole story in our head about why it wont work. i did the same thing with those silicone oven mitts that are all over now. thought theyd melt or be flimsy but nope theyre actually better than the old fabric ones. its funny how once you finally give something a real shot you realize your old way of thinking was just stubbornness mixed with a little fear of change. the cape holder thing is the same deal. you spent years doing it the hard way convinced the new way was a gimmick till you had no choice and found out it was actually smarter. now you probably look at the old way and wonder how you put up with it for so long. thats just how most of us are with tools and gear. we stick with what we know until something forces our hand.

Seems like most of us just need a little proof before we ditch our stubborn ways.

Yeah that bit about building up a story in your head is spot on. I did the same thing with those magnetic knife strips, figured theyd be weak and all my knives would end up on the floor but now I have three of them on my wall and love em.
