The guy who demanded a straight razor shave but had a full beard

So this older dude walks into my chair about 6 months ago, sits down, and says he wants a straight razor shave. I look at him and he's got like a 3 inch long beard, not just stubble. I told him I'd have to clip it down first with clippers to even get to the skin, and he got all offended. He said no, just use the razor on top of the beard, it'll cut through fine. I tried to explain it would clog up and pull something awful, but he insisted. So I grabbed a fresh blade and gave it a shot on a small patch near his jawline. It yanked like crazy, he winced, and after like 10 seconds he goes 'okay yeah you were right just shave it off normally.' We laughed about it after but man, people have some wild ideas about what razors can do. Anyone else get requests that just don't make sense physically?

oh man, i've had a few of those. best thing i've learned is to just let them feel one pass of the razor and they'll give in real quick. i had a guy once who wanted me to dry shave his head with a straight. i told him it'd hurt and we'd get maybe 10% of the hair off, but he was dead set. i did one strip and he literally jumped out of the chair and went 'just use the clippers, man.' saved me a lot of arguing after that lol.
