Stop wasting cash on those cheap clipper blades from Amazon
I bought a 5 pack of those no name clipper blades off Amazon for like $30 thinking I was saving money. After the third blade chipped on a simple fade I realized I had just thrown $30 in the trash. Took me an extra 20 minutes to fix the line on my client's head. I ended up having to toss the rest of the pack because they all started pulling hair after one use. Lesson learned, I'm sticking with Andis or Wahl from now on even if they cost more upfront. Anyone else get burned by those cheap multi packs?

Oh man, I gotta point out something though. Those Wahl and Andis blades aren't as bulletproof as people think either. I've had a Wahl blade chip on me after a few months and Andis blades can dull fast if you're not keeping them oiled. The real trick is learning to sharpened your own blades. I picked up a little sharpening stone off Amazon for like 15 bucks and now I just touch up my expensive blades every few weeks. Been using the same pair of Andis blades for over a year now.

You know what, I used to be on the other side of this fence completely. I thought those cheap blades were a steal and anyone paying $40 for a single Andis blade was just wasting money. But @lisak26 has a point about sharpening though. After my third cheap blade failed on me during a zero fade, I finally caved and bought a proper Andis blade. That thing glides through hair like butter. Yeah, they still need oiling and care, but I can get a good 6 months before I need to think about sharpening. The cheap ones just aren't built with the same metal and it shows.
