Shoutout to the old timer who talked me out of fading with clippers only

I used to think a skin fade had to be done with clippers and a razor, no exceptions, until a guy at the shop in Greeley showed me he finishes his with a straight razor and about 4 passes of foil shaver work. My fades stopped looking patchy at the transition line after that. Any of you still doing the all clipper method or did you switch too?
