I tried both feathering and clipper-over-comb for blending and clipper-over-comb is way better every time.
Been doing fade blends for 6 years in Austin and feathering always leaves patchy spots on coarse hair no matter how careful I am, but clipper-over-comb gives me a perfect smooth transition in half the passes - anyone else swear by one method over the other?

Doubt it really matters that much honestly.

Has anyone tried a 45 degree angle on coarse hair before blending ruby_patel27?

In Houston I had a guy with super thick curly hair and feathering just left these random dark streaks no matter how slow I went. Switched to clipper-over-comb on him and the blend came out clean in like 3 passes. I still use feathering on finer hair but for anything coarse or wavy clipper-over-comb is just way more reliable for me too. Learned that the hard way after too many fix ups.
