I laughed at a 40 dollar magnetic wristband for holding blades, then my thumb turned purple clipping a 90 year old's hair
After sweeping up dropped blades one too many times and slicing my finger open on the floor, I gave in and bought the 12 dollar magnetic strip for my station instead. Anybody else find that the cheap fix you mocked ends up being the one that saves your skin?

Man, that purple thumb detail is what gets me. Was it the clip itself that got you, or did the blade slip while you were trying to hold everything steady? I've had those moments where you're mid-cut and the person moves their head just slightly and suddenly your whole grip is off. How long did it take before you finally said enough and bought the strip? Curious if it was a slow build or one bad cut that pushed you over.
