Clipper blade went dull mid-fade on a regular yesterday

Was doing a low taper on this guy Dave around 3pm and my Wahl blade just started pulling halfway through. Had to finish with a backup trimmer and order a new set off Amazon that night. Any of you guys sharpen your own blades or just replace em?

You ever try just hitting it with a sharpening stone? I know a guy who swears by it but I always just replace mine. It's like $30 for a new blade set and I don't trust myself not to mess it up. Plus sharpening takes forever and I got clients waiting.

Nah, I read something about that once. Someone online said if you hit it at the wrong angle you ruin the whole blade. Not worth the risk for me. I just swap em out. Time is money.

My buddy tried sharpening his own once and ended up with a blade that was more jagged than a bread knife. He said it cut hair okay but also kind of shredded it at the same time. Replacing them is just easier in the long run.
