The guy at my local chess club in Tulsa says you should always trade queens early, and I think he's dead wrong
I was at the chess club on Riverside last Tuesday and this older guy, probably 70, told me that trading queens in the first 10 moves is the best way to win at our level. He said it cuts down on mistakes and simplifies the game, but I've lost way more games when I do that because I end up in boring draws. Isn't keeping the queens on the board actually better for finding a win, or am I missing something?
