When my neighbor with five kids pays the same rate as my empty nest, that's not fairness that's subsidizing their choice to have a big family, and no one's convinced me otherwise yet.

What would you do about a family who adopts three kids from foster care? Should their taxes go up too, or is that different from having your own kids?
