That time in Austin a stranger told me my hiking boots were on the wrong feet

I was at the Barton Creek trailhead lacing up when this guy maybe 60 years old walks up and says 'son you got those on backwards.' I looked down and sure enough my left boot was on my right foot. He just nodded and walked off without another word. Has anyone else had a random stranger point out something so obvious you felt dumb for a week?

Makes for a funny story but I don't get feeling dumb about it for a week, you just laced your boots fast and didn't notice.
