Shoutout to the cashier at that taco stand in Austin who called me out on my bullsh*t portion sizes

I was at this hole in the wall spot off South Congress last Saturday, trying to order a "small" bowl of queso cause I was pretending to watch my calories. The lady behind the counter just stared at me and said "honey, you're gonna be back in 20 minutes for the large, just save us both the trouble." She was right. I ate the whole large in my car. Bad take? Portion control is a scam when your food is this good. Anyone else had a stranger force you into a better decision?

small" bowl of queso and "pretending to watch my calories" I felt that in my soul lol but actually portion control isn't a scam, it's just that queso specifically doesn't obey the laws of physics or dieting. That cashier was doing you a favor though, saving you the walk back.

And @uma_johnson nailed it - queso operates outside normal food rules. It's basically a liquid that tricks your brain into thinking you're still hungry until the bowl's empty.
