Rant: Modern bread used to keep for a week, now it molds in 3 days flat
I noticed this shift around 2018 or so. I think bakeries started cutting out preservatives to seem more artisanal, but now I can't finish a loaf before it turns green in the bag. Has anyone else had luck finding a store brand that actually lasts past Wednesday?

Yeah I read somewhere it's because they swapped out the traditional preservatives for "natural" stuff that doesn't work as long. I've had decent luck with Sara Lee's "Soft & Smooth" line, seems to last almost a week for me.
