Just learned something about ballpoint pens that makes zero sense

Was reading this random forum about office supplies and found out that the average person loses like 4 ballpoint pens per month. That means a company with 100 workers is blowing through 4800 pens a year minimum. But here's the thing - I always thought the cheap Bics were a total waste and everyone should just buy Pilot G2s. Now I'm wondering if losing expensive pens is actually worse than losing cheap ones. My old office spent about 0.10 per pen, but if we switched to nicer pens we'd be out way more cash. Has anyone actually tracked their pen losses at work or am I the only one nerding out over this?

Nah, Pilot G2s just get stolen faster in my experience.

Faster" is right. It's funny how some pens just have a target on their back. It's like the universe decided those things are community property.
