I finally found a trick to keep my houseplants alive without any effort

I kept killing succulents even though everyone says they're impossible to kill. So I stuck a cheap moisture probe from Amazon into the soil and now I only water when it hits 'dry' 2 inches down. Has anyone else found a lazy way to stop overwatering?

Ha! I just talk to mine and hope guilt keeps them alive.

Gotta push back a bit here. Talking to a laptop feels like you're praying to a broken vending machine. @anna_fox7 probably just sets timers and forgets about them, which is way more reliable than hoping a bad power cord feels guilty. Guilt doesn't stop a memory leak or a jammed fan. Actual workarounds like keyboard shortcuts or task scheduler scripts do that.

People figure out their own lazy workarounds for everything, but it's never the same trick twice.
