Coworker told me my invoice templates were garbage and I actually fixed them

I've been using the same invoice format for 3 years and never thought twice about it. Then my coworker pointed out the payment terms were buried in tiny font at the bottom and half our clients were paying late because they didn't see the due date. Has anyone else had a simple formatting change completely shift how people respond to your work?

Are people really that bad at seeing a due date on an invoice?

I gotta push back on that a little. You'd be shocked how many people just glance at the total and miss the due date entirely, especially with auto-pay or email reminders flooding their inbox. Have you ever dealt with late payers who said they "didn't see it" when it's right there in bold?

lol yes absolutely. People's brains just disconnect when they see a number they owe. Bold text, red text, doesn't matter lol they just see the dollar amount and zone out. Plus half the time they're paying from their phone while doing something else. It's honestly wild how common it is.
