Back when I used to hand-write every draft of a blog post before typing it up and now I just word-vomit straight into the editor and hit publish
Switched over around 2018 after I got a laptop with a decent keyboard and realized I was wasting like 20 minutes a day rewriting stuff I already wrote, but has anyone else found their editing game took a nosedive after dropping the handwriting step?

I found the same thing happened to me when I switched to typing everything.

Handwriting forces you to actually think before you write though.

I saw this study a while back that said handwriting actually lights up different parts of your brain compared to typing. It makes sense because when I write by hand I have to slow down and map out what I'm saying in my head first. Typing is just too fast and I end up rambling or going back to delete things constantly. The physical act of forming letters really does change how you organize your thoughts before they hit the page.
