Why does nobody talk about how I named my cat after a gas station sandwich
Honestly when I got my first cat back in 2016 I did the whole cute name thing, Bella, Luna, whatever, and it never fit any of them. Now I wait until the pet does something that tells me who they are, and the name just falls out of my mouth. My current cat is named Gobbler because the first night I brought him home from a shelter off Route 9 in Jersey he stole half a turkey sub off my plate in under 4 seconds. My vet tech actually laughed and said it was the best name she had seen all month, which felt like a win. My mom still calls him Mr. Whiskers and he ignores her every time. The funny part is my last cat was named Sock for 11 years and I do not even remember why. Does anyone else name pets based on a dumb story instead of picking something nice ahead of time?
Man, the turkey sub story is killing me. So when he stole it, did he actually eat the whole thing or just drag it under the couch and leave a mess? Because my sister's cat did that with a hot dog once and we found it three weeks later behind the fridge looking like a fossil. Also I gotta know, does Gobbler still go after your food now or did he learn his lesson after the first score?
