Rant: My vet in Phoenix let me rename my cat 3 times in one year and now he answers to nothing
Adopted him as Mr. Wiggles. Hated it by day 4. Switched to Biscuit. My roommate said it made him sound like a breakfast side. Then Kobe. Six months of that and he looked up maybe twice. The vet tech finally said the cat hears the tone, not the name, and I was changing it too fast for him to lock on. She suggested picking one and saying it every time I fed him for 14 days straight. He now comes running to Kobe, but only if I say it in my high voice. So the name stuck, just not the way I wanted. Anyone else rename a pet and have it blow up in their face?
