Vent: My brother and I finally agreed on something after watching that new Point Break

We were at his place in Phoenix, halfway through the remake, when he just turned it off. He looked at me and said, 'This is like a car commercial that forgot to sell a car.' That one line summed up the whole empty feeling... it had no soul and zero reason to exist. We spent the next hour listing better movies we could have watched instead. Has anyone else had a remake kill a movie night like that?

What was the first movie you both agreed to watch next?

Is it really that big of a deal though? It's just a bad movie, you turned it off and talked about better ones. That sounds like a pretty good night with your brother to me (way better than fighting over the remote, right?). Sometimes a bad pick just gives you something to laugh about together. I've had nights where the movie was so forgettable we just ended up hanging out instead, and those are the ones I remember.

That remake was a total vibe killer, man.
