That time I defended the Total Recall remake for a week before admitting it was trash

I spent a whole Friday night arguing with my buddy Mark that the 2012 Total Recall had a cool visual style. Then I watched the original again on Sunday and realized I was just trying to justify 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Has a remake ever tricked you into defending it at first?
