That RoboCop remake from 2014 was a total train wreck

I finally watched it last night and man, did they miss the whole point of the original. The original RoboCop was this gritty satire about corporate greed and dehumanization, but the remake just made it a generic action flick with no bite. They spent $100 million on CGI and forgot to give it a soul. Did anyone actually like that version better than the original?

My buddy Dave walked out of that movie after 20 minutes and never went back to the theater.

Used to think people were overreacting but now I get why Dave never went back.

Hold up, a guy walking out of a movie after 20 minutes and never going back to a theater sounds a little dramatic, don't you think? Unless the popcorn was on fire, that seems like an overreaction to a pretty forgettable movie.
