That recent Total Recall remake still makes me mad 3 years later
Honestly, I sat through that whole thing with Colin Farrell and kept waiting for it to get better. The original had that gritty, paranoid feel with Mars colonies and this one just felt like a generic action movie with no soul. Did anyone actually think we needed a remake of that 90s classic?

Point out how they completely missed the point of the original too. The 1990 one had that whole "how do I know I'm real" question running through it, and this new one just turned it into a chase movie. They dropped the three boobs gag which was honestly the least important thing to cut, but they also removed the smart stuff. That scene where Arnold's character realizes his memories might be fake had way more weight than anything in the remake. Just feels like they took the name and made something totally different.

Hard disagree. The remake had to be a chase movie. The original spent too much time on the "am I real" stuff and it dragged. New one just got to the point faster. That's not missing the point, that's trimming the fat.
