That live-action ThunderCats remake still haunts my movie nights

I was at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin last Saturday with some friends and they put on the 2010 ThunderCats movie as a joke. I barely made it through 20 minutes before I had to step out to the lobby. Those CGI fur textures looked worse than my poodle after a bad quarantine cut. Has anyone actually sat through the whole thing without cringing?

The behind the scenes drama made the CGI actually look okay compared to that script.

Give the script a second draft pass before throwing money at production next time. It saves a lot of headaches and keeps the VFX team from having to work overtime to fix things that shouldn't have been broken in the first place.

Haha oh man, I feel that in my bones. I once wrote a script that was basically a first draft fever dream and we shot it anyway. The VFX guy literally sent me a screenshot of his overtime pay stub with the caption 'thanks for this' and I wanted to crawl into a hole lol. Script rewrites are just cheaper therapy for everyone involved, seriously.
