Shoutout to the guy who told me my Point Break remake take was wrong

I used to defend the 2015 Point Break remake. Thought it was fine. Then some dude on here said the original had charisma and the remake had none of it. Made me watch them back to back. Now I get it. The remake is just action scenes with no soul. Anyone else change their mind on a remake after hearing someone's take?

Man, that remake made me want to jump out of a plane without a parachute.

Wait did he actually say jump out without a parachute? That's like a whole different level of movie rage right there. I thought the remake was bad but not that bad, reminds me of how I felt watching that last Star Wars trilogy. Makes me wonder if the director even watched the original before filming this thing.

Yeah I remember that one. That guy was really passionate about it. Reminds me of when my buddy tried to convince me the new RoboCop was okay. We sat down and watched the original and then the new one in the same night. By the time the new one got to the part where he takes off the helmet to show his human face I was just staring at the ceiling. My friend turned to me and said "I dont know what I was thinking man." We havent talked about movie remakes since. But I still think about how bad that RoboCop remake was sometimes when I'm trying to fall asleep.
