Rant: Hit 50 remakes watched and realized most were total garbage

I started a dumb challenge last year to watch every big movie remake that came out, thinking I'd find at least a few gems. After 50 movies, only like 3 were actually decent and the rest felt like cash grabs that missed the whole point of the originals. How many remakes have you guys sat through before you just gave up?

The new Dune and The Departed actually worked because they brought something new to the table instead of just copying the original scene by scene. The Hills remake was also surprisingly decent for what it was trying to do.
