I watched the new 'Point Break' remake with my friend from college

We made popcorn and everything, thinking it would be a fun throwback. The whole movie was just a bunch of extreme sports clips with a plot that made zero sense, and they turned Bodhi into a... climate activist? After an hour, my friend just looked at me and said, 'This feels like a commercial for energy drinks.' It was so bad we turned it off. Has anyone else seen a remake that completely missed the point of the original?

Read an article that said the remake tried to be "relevant" and lost all the fun. Honestly, they just took the name and slapped it on a totally different movie. It sounds like you got the full, painful experience.

Ugh, I was actually kinda excited for it at first. That article totally changed my mind though, you're right. They really did just ruin a good thing.
