I was at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin last night and they played the trailer for the new 'Road House' before the movie. It just hit me how pointless this whole remake trend is.

Honestly, that's not a remake, it's a totally new movie with the same name. The original was about a bouncer at a roadside bar, this one's about an ex UFC fighter at a Florida keys place.
