Hit my 100th botched remake last night with that new "Ghostbusters" cash grab and it finally clicked why these keep failing

That exact number of remakes I watched made me realize Hollywood just recycles old ideas without understanding what made the originals special, and now I track each one like a weird hobby, anyone else keep a list of these flops?

Read an article saying studios see remakes as safe bets because the brand recognition is already there. They don't get that the nostalgia only works if you actually deliver something good, not just a lazy copy.

Read somewhere that the best remakes are the ones that change just enough to feel fresh but keep the heart of the original. Lazy copies just waste everyone's time.
