Hit 50 straight bad remakes before I finally gave up on Hollywood

I made it a personal goal to watch every big movie remake from the last 5 years. Last Tuesday I finally crossed 50 remakes on my list with the new RoboCop and it just broke me. That one was especially bad because they stripped out all the satire and made it a generic action flick. Has anyone else tried to power through a bunch of these just to see if there's a single good one hidden in there?

Saw a buddy of mine who works in film marketing say these remakes are basically just cash grabs to keep IP rights active. Makes sense why they feel so hollow. The RoboCop one especially pissed me off because the old movie was actually funny and smart about corporate greed. Fifty is a LOT though, I woulda quit after like ten of those things.
