Dropped $32 on a used DVD of the 2019 Hellboy remake at a flea market and now I get why everyone hated it
I collect bad DVDs on purpose, just a hobby thing, and last month at a flea market in Columbus I paid $32 for a used copy of the 2019 Hellboy remake. I figured the hate was overblown, but about 40 minutes in I understood. They took a weird, fun character and made him grim and bloody for no reason. The original del Toro ones had color and jokes and a heart, this one just felt like a loud music video. I paid $32 plus gas to learn that some remakes really do not need to exist, and I still have the disc if anyone wants it. Which remake made you regret spending money on it?
