Tried a new 'universal' dryer vent clamp and it popped off after two cycles

I picked up a pack of those quick-connect plastic clamps from a big box store, thinking they'd save time on a job last Tuesday. The package said 'fits all standard 4-inch vents' and they clicked on easy. I came back for a follow-up and found the clamp had blown clean off, dumping lint behind the unit. Learned that 'universal' sometimes just means 'fits poorly on everything'. Anyone found a brand of these that actually holds up?

Wait, it blew off completely? That's wild... I figured they'd just get loose over time. Those plastic ones must have zero grip once they heat up.

What did you end up using to fix it? I had the same thing happen with those plastic ones... I switched to the metal worm gear clamps you tighten with a screwdriver. They're a pain to put on but they haven't budged in two years.
