That one customer who saved an old washer for 20 years
Had a call last Tuesday in a tiny town outside Spokane. Lady had a Whirlpool washer from 1989 still running but making a racket. She told me her mom bought it new and she 'just wanted it fixed one more time.' I pulled the pump and found a dime and three bobby pins jamming it up. Charged her 45 bucks and she almost cried happy. Anyone else run into customers who refuse to upgrade old machines?

Hate to be that guy but that dime didn't end up in the pump from the wash cycle. Dimes don't fit through the drain screen usually, she probably dropped it in there while loading clothes or something. Still a good save though, forty five bucks beats a new machine any day.

Guess I owe my washing machine an apology for all those years I blamed it.
