Stop telling people to just replace the thermal fuse on a dryer. It's almost never the only problem.

Spoken like a man who's replaced three.

Forget the fuse, check the vent line first like simon_coleman should.

Honestly, the real killer is lint buildup on the blower wheel itself. Pulled one apart last week that looked fine from the outside, but the fins were completely packed solid. That extra strain will trip a thermal cutoff every time, and a new fuse just burns out again.
