My dolly straps used to be a tangled nightmare, now they live in a bucket

For years I carried four ratchet straps loose in my van and every single call I wasted 10 minutes untangling them on the driveway. Last month in Akron I got so fed up I bought a cheap 5 gallon bucket and drilled 4 holes through the side near the bottom. I fed each strap through a hole with the hook hanging outside and the ratchet inside, so now I can grab one and go without any knots. It cost me $4 for the bucket and 15 minutes of my time, and honestly it might be the best tool organization move I've made in 12 years. Has anyone else found a weird simple fix like this that saved them way more time than expected?

Honestly I used to think people who organized their straps were just being extra. Like just throw them in the back and deal with it, that's part of the job right? But this bucket thing is so simple it hurts. I did something similar with my extension cords last year, drilled holes in a plastic tub and now I just pull the end and they come out clean every time. It's one of those fixes where you kick yourself for not doing it ten years sooner.
